The IMET KS 652 series consists of heavy-duty double column bandsaws designed for professional metal carpentry, structural steel factories, and tube producers. While the KS 652 offers high-performance semiautomatic operation, the KS 652 NC evolution introduces motorized sawframe rotation managed via a 7” touch screen. Both models feature a unique clamping system that allows for mitering up to 60° left and right without moving the material, combined with a 6° canted blade for optimized penetration.

General

THE "ONE-LOCK" MITERING SYSTEM

The KS 652 series is engineered to eliminate the most common bottleneck in angular cutting: material repositioning.

  • Single-Clamping Rotation: These are the only machines in their class where the operator can lock the material once and rotate the bow to any angle between 60° Left and 60° Right. There is no need to open the vise or shift the bar to achieve complex miter cuts.
  • KS 652 NC Motorized Rotation: The NC version features a 0.55 kW motor-reducer and inverter for automatic bow positioning. A hydraulic piston and air-cleaning system ensure the bow locks into the exact set position with maximum precision.
  • Transversal Vise Displacement: The vise slides transversally on linear guides, controlled by a hydraulic cylinder and encoder for perfect alignment relative to the cutting line.

Features

  • 7” Touch Screen CNC (NC Model): An intuitive HMI allows the operator to set cutting angles, manage up to 99 programs, and perform self-diagnosis.
  • 6° Canted Sawframe: The blade is never parallel to the material surface, ensuring it always works on a section of the material rather than a flat surface. This reduces stress, prevents binding, and extends blade life.
  • High-Tension Cutting: Standard tension is 28,446 PSI (2000 kg/cm²), increasing to 31,291 PSI (2200 kg/cm²)when equipped with the optional 41mm blade.
  • Material Detection Device: A mechanical feeler allows for rapid blade approach by automatically detecting the material height, transitioning immediately to the set feed rate upon contact.
  • Precision Angle Referencing: Both machines feature a graduated scale on the rotating work surface with automatic stops at 0°, 45°, and 60°.
  • Mobile Control Console: Independent from the machine frame to ensure operator safety and ergonomics, featuring LEDs for blade tension, guard status, and thermal blocks.
