The IMET KS 450 is a high-performance Semi-Automatic Double Miter Bandsaw designed specifically for heavy structural steelwork, pipes, and beams. As a robust pivot-style machine, it is unique in its class for its ability to perform precision miter cuts up to 60° both Right and Left without needing to reposition the material. It features a heavy-duty 1.34 in (34 mm) blade and a specialized bow pivot designed to maximize efficiency when cutting large rectangular sections.
Features
- Double-Miter Versatility: Engineered to rotate up to 60° in both directions. The integrated system allows the operator to fix the material in the vise once and simply rotate the arc to the required angle.
- End-of-Cut Blade Inclination: The bow pivot is situated below the centerline of the cutting table. This ensures the blade is inclined at the end of the cut, which significantly improves performance and blade life when cutting square or flat profiles.
- Semi-Automatic Hydraulic Cycle: The machine features a hydraulic power unit that manages the vise clamping, blade descent speed, and automatically lifts the saw head after the cut is complete.
- Transversal Sliding Vise: The vise has a full stroke of 18.11 in (460 mm) and slides transversely on the work surface. This allows for rapid approach and secure clamping regardless of the miter direction.
- Material Height Sensing: Equipped with a feeler device that automatically detects the top of the material, allowing for a fast approach before switching to the set cutting feed rate to minimize cycle times.
- Integral Rotating Table: The working table (33.27 in height) rotates in unison with the arc, providing solid support for the material at all cutting angles and protecting the table surface.
