The IMET KS 620 is a powerful Large Capacity Double Miter Bandsaw specifically engineered for the structural steel industry and heavy-duty pipe fabrication. This semi-automatic pivot-style machine combines a massive 24.4 in (620 mm)rectangular capacity with the ability to perform high-precision miter cuts up to 60° both Right and Left. Utilizing a heavy-duty 1.61 in (41 mm) blade and a reinforced bow structure, it delivers exceptional cutting speed and accuracy on the largest beams and profiles.
Features
- Extreme Double-Miter Range: Designed for maximum versatility, the arc can rotate up to 60° in both directions. This allows for complex angle processing on long structural beams without the need to flip or move the material.
- Inclined Pivot Design: The bow pivot is engineered to provide an inclined blade exit at the end of the cut. This mechanical geometry reduces the contact area between the blade and the material, leading to faster cutting times and significantly longer blade life on rectangular sections.
- Semi-Automatic Hydraulic Cycle: Managed by a dedicated hydraulic power unit, the machine automates the viseclamping, regulates the blade descent speed via a flow control valve, and automatically returns the saw head to the programmed height once the cut is complete.
- Heavy-Duty Vise: Features a full-stroke hydraulic vise that slides transversely across the work surface. This allows the operator to maintain maximum clamping pressure near the blade regardless of the miter angle or direction.
- Intelligent Height Detection: Equipped with a material sensing device that allows the saw frame to descend at a high-speed "rapid approach" before automatically switching to the set cutting feed rate upon contact with the workpiece.
- Synchronized Rotating Table: The integrated working table rotates in unison with the bow. This ensures the material is always supported by a solid surface at any angle and protects the machine base from blade incisions.
