The IMET XT Series consists of the XT4, XT5, and XT6, representing the most advanced automatic double column bandsaw for mass production available today. Designed for heavy industrial applications, these machines are engineered for the high-volume processing of steel and metal solids up to 560 mm (22.04 in). TECHNOLOGY MODULE: THE PINNACLE OF SAWING PRECISION
The XT Series integrates brushless technology and rigid structural engineering to deliver unmatched cutting efficiency.
- Double Structure Sawframe: The sawframe features an electrowelded double structure with large thickness to eliminate vibrations, bindings, and noise during the heaviest cutting processes.
- Brushless Downfeed System: Sawframe movement is perfectly balanced and driven by a high-performance brushless motor with a low-backlash planetary gearbox and recirculating ballscrew for extreme descent precision.
- Advanced Feeding System: The integrated 500 mm (20 in) single-stroke feeder utilizes a brushless motor with a rack and pinion system and a floating plate to facilitate the loading of non-rectilinear bars.
- Innovative Detach System: At the end of the cut, the feeder backs off slightly to detach the blade from the material before the bow rises, significantly reducing friction and extending blade life.

- 10" Touch Screen HMI: A user-friendly CNC interface providing access to a library of over 1200 materials and the ability to store 90 cutting programs.
- Unique 4-Jaw Vise System: Features four independent jaws that open to reduce friction. Users can choose between a 4-jaw setup for maximum stability (standard for WIDIA blades) or a 2-jaw setup to reduce remnant to just 30 mm(1.18 in).
- IMET Sense Technology: Optimizes cycle times by utilizing a fast-approach mode until the blade is within 10 mm of the material, then automatically switching to the programmed cutting parameters.
- High Energy Efficiency: The innovative hydraulic unit reduces power consumption by up to 80% compared to traditional units, using only 3 kW/h per day.
- User Safety & Access: All moving parts are protected by a full carter system with safety microswitches. Large doors provide full access to all internal components for easy maintenance.
- Precision Blade Guides: Hydraulically-driven hard metal pads with cemented, rectified lateral rolls and a Widia-ring bearing ensure perfect alignment.
