The Mecal MC 311 is a specialized Small Aluminum Part Fabrication Centre, engineered to automate the high-volume production of small aluminum components from extruded material. Unlike general-purpose machines, the MC 311 streamlines the entire manufacturing process. After a bar is loaded by the operator, the cycle begins with the powerful 10 kW spindle performing all machining on the first section of the profile. Supported by a 12-position automatic tool changer, it handles a wide range of operations including drilling, milling, rigid tapping, and flow drilling. The servo clamps then advance the bar to the integrated cutting station, where a 500 mm blade makes a precise 90° cut. This "machine-feed-cut" cycle repeats until the bar is completely consumed. For even greater capability, an optional station can be added to perform boring operations on both ends of the part after it has been cut. This all-in-one, compact design makes the Mecal MC 311 a highly efficient solution for dedicated production of items like hinges, clips, and brackets.
