The IMET GBS 240 is the largest, most capable Professional Miter Cutting Bandsaw in the IMET gravity feed line, designed for small-to-medium structural fabrication and processing large material stock. Featuring a heavy, 42° inclined cast-iron sawframe and a large 9.45 in (240 mm) round capacity, this pivot saw offers robust performance. The premium GBS 240 GH version includes the Autocut GH system, utilizing a hydraulic brake for superior blade feed control during unattended cuts.

- GH (Autocut): Adds a Gravity Hydraulic system with a 3-way selector (Manual, Rapid Approach, or Autocut).In Autocut mode, the blade descent rate is hydraulically regulated for autonomous, unattended cutting.

- High-Capacity Miter Cutting: Provides up to 9.45 in (240 mm) round capacity at 90° and performs single miter cuts up to 60° left.
- Autocut GH System (GBS 240 GH only): Elevates operation to semi-automatic status. The 3-way selector controls the cutting process: Manual, Rapid Material Approach, and Autonomous Hydraulic Downfeed with automatic stop.
- Industrial Rigidity: The heavy, cast-iron saw frame and 42° inclination are engineered to handle heavier material loads, minimizing vibration and maximizing blade life under professional use.
- Vise Clamping: Equipped with a manual quick-clamping vise featuring a 125 mm high jaw for secure gripping of large rectangular profiles and bundles.
- Precision Blade Guides: Utilizes carbide inserts and precision bearings within the guide arms for perfect blade alignment and extended durability.
- High Blade Tension: Capable of maintaining high blade tension of 21,300 PSI (1500 kg/cm2), which is essential for accurate, straight cuts on thick solids.
- Motor: 1.6 HP (1.2 kW) blade motor offers two selectable speeds: 115 ft/min (35 m/min) and 230 ft/min (70 m/min).
- Work Surface Protection: The work table rotates in sync with the saw frame on a ball bearing base, completely eliminating incision damage to the table surface during miter adjustment.
