The IMET KTECH 802 is an automatic mitering double column bandsaw for structural steel engineered for big size production and heavy-duty industrial applications. It features a motorized sawframe rotation system and an integrated 3000 mm (118.11 in) automatic material feeder, both managed by a centralized CNC system with a 10″ touch screen display. This machine is the perfect professional tool for cutting bars, tubes, solids, and profiles up to 60° left and right.

TECHNOLOGY MODULE: 3-AXIS CNC AUTOMATION

The KTECH 802 platform provides full control over large-scale material processing through its integrated numeric control.

  • CNC Managed Axes: The system controls three primary axes: vice closing, material feeding, and sawframe rotation, all manageable via the touch screen or SAWFACTORY software.
  • High-Precision Angle Measurement: To maintain extreme accuracy on left and right miter cuts, the angle measurement system is located outside the machine center.
  • Integrated F3000 Feeder: The 3000 mm feeder includes an integrated roller table for full material support. Movement and stroke repetition are managed via the HMI, utilizing an electric motor, encoder, and toothed belt transmission.

  • 5° Canted Sawframe: The electrowelded bow is inclined at a 5° angle to optimize material penetration and reduce strain on the blade, preventing slowdowns even on the strongest profiles.
  • Smart Material Detection: Features an encoder on the bow axis for a rapid approach to the material and a microswitch on the mobile blade guide to automatically detect the end-cut point.
  • Hydraulic Split-Vise System: The horizontal vice utilizes a system with opening jaws on both sides to facilitate the loading of non-rectilinear bars.
  • Standard Minimal Lubrication: Standard equipment that keeps the material dry and avoids liquid dispersion, ensuring that length measurements remain unaffected.
  • Energy-Saving Hydraulic Unit: A low-noise pump design with locking valves; the unit remains switched off during most processes to save energy and maintain low oil temperatures.
