The IMET KTECH 352 F1200 is an Automatic Mitering Bandsaw for Structural Steel designed for high-precision batch production in steel works and carpentry factories. This pivoting-head machine features an integrated 1150 mm(45.27 in) motorized feeder and a numeric control system that manages automatic rotation for miter cuts from +60° to −45°. Equipped with a 10″ touch screen HMI, it offers full Industry 4.0 compatibility and a synchronized 4-axis control system to optimize complex cutting workflows.

4-AXIS NC AUTOMATION

The KTECH 352 platform is defined by its ability to synchronize all critical movements through a centralized CNC system.

  • 4-Axis Control: The machine manages the lateral movement and closing of the vice, material feeding, and sawframe rotation automatically. This eliminates manual setup errors and ensures high repeatability in mass production.
  • NC Sawframe Rotation: Bow rotation is driven by a motor-reducer with inverter control via a chain system. Once the programmed angle is reached, a hydraulic cylinder locks the bow in place for maximum stability.
  • F1200 Integrated Feeder: The motorized feeder utilizes a self-braking electric motor and an incremental ballscrew for precise positioning. It features a floating plate to compensate for non-straight material and an infinitesimal encoder for automatic piece-size correction.

  • 10" Touch Screen HMI: An intuitive interface for managing all operative functions, including the setup of up to 99 cutting programs and multiple lengths on a single bar. It includes autodiagnostics for real-time error detection.
  • Innovative Angle Measurement: To ensure the highest cutting precision, the angle reading is taken outside the machine center, providing superior positioning accuracy for miter cuts.
  • Mechanical Material Detection: This system facilitates a rapid approach to the material by automatically detecting the first cut point. The end-cutting process is managed by a microswitch and a potentiometer that adjusts based on material width and cutting angle.
  • Optimized Blade Geometry: Like all IMET saws, the cycle ends with the blade not parallel to the plate. This ensures the blade always works on a section of the material, reducing strain and vibrations.
  • Standard Minimal Lubrication: A micro-mist lubrication system is included as standard to eliminate the mess of emulsifiable oil while maintaining blade life.
  • High-Tension 27 mm Blade: Uses a 1.06 in (27 mm) blade with tension up to 24,891 PSI (1750 kgf/cm2) to ensure clean cuts and prevent breakage.
