The IMET XS 1250 is a big size, industrial semiautomatic bandsaw designed for cutting big dimension profiles and solids of special steels. INDUSTRIAL SCALE PRECISION

The XS 1250 is engineered to manage extreme material volumes with high precision and minimal vibration.

  • Double Section Sawframe: The machine basement and sawframe are made of electrowelded steel with a wide, strong, and rigid double structure. This massive build reduces noise and vibrations while protecting blade life.
  • High-Accuracy Downfeed: Sawframe movement is provided by a high-performance brushless motor with a low backlash planetary gearbox and recirculating ballscrew. This system allows for extreme control precision over descent speeds, even at the lowest rates.
  • Motorized Material Handling: The wide supporting area features 10 electric motorized rollers managed by an inverter. Seven rollers are placed before the blade and three after, allowing for independent or simultaneous movement to ease material detachment and avoid friction. This is crucial when using hard metal blades (like WIDIA) or cutting materials that tend to close on the blade.

  • 10" HMI Touch Screen: Features a CNC numeric control and user-friendly interface to manage all machine parameters and view status in real-time. The system includes self-diagnosis for functioning anomalies and views blade speed in millimeters per minute.
  • Material Library: Includes an integrated database of more than 150 materials with preset parameters. The software automatically calculates optimized cutting settings based on the selected material and program.
  • Hydraulic Vise System: The hydraulic locking vice slides horizontally on recirculating ballscrews for precise positioning. The jaws feature a height of 27.55 in (700 mm).
  • Blade Alignment and Tensioning: Hard metal pads and hardened lateral rollers provide alignment, with the mobile blade guide automatically kept near the cutting area. Tensioning is provided by a 7.08 in (180 mm) diameter hydraulic cylinder.
  • Automatic Strain Relief: To avoid useless stress, the system automatically releases blade tension when the machine is not in use. If a breakage or damage is detected, the process stops immediately.
  • Triple Chip Conveyor System: Features an external motorized chip conveyor plus two standard conveyors mounted on the pulley carters to keep the working area clean.
