The Karmetal SOSA 300×350 is engineered for industrial workshops that prioritize structural rigidity and cutting accuracy. Its double column architecture utilizes a roller-type linear guide system for down motion, eliminating vibrations and ensuring superior squareness compared to pivot-type machines. Available in PLC and economic ENC (NC) models, it adapts to different levels of production complexity. Powered by a 2.95 HP (2.2 kW) main motor and a bevel helical gearbox, it provides efficient torque transmission for continuous high-volume cutting of solids and profiles.

General

FLEXIBLE NC & PLC AUTOMATION

The SOSA 300x350 series allows users to choose the level of digital control that best fits their workflow:

  • PLC Touchscreen Control: The premium configuration features a 7" touchscreen HMI. It supports 50 different work programs, 11 alternative languages, and comprehensive error/alarm logging for complex production schedules.
  • Economic ENC (NC) Control: The cost-effective ENC version utilizes a digital control panel with a membrane push-button interface. It is capable of saving up to 20 work programs, making it ideal for repetitive, high-speed production tasks.
  • Double Column Stability: The saw frame travels vertically on two precision columns with linear guides, ensuring even distribution of cutting forces and preventing blade deflection.
  • Variable Blade Speed: Both models utilize an inverter to adjust blade speeds between 72−295 ft/min(22−90 m/min) based on material hardness and thickness.

Features

  • Hydraulic Vise System: Features adjustable clamping pressure and duration, monitored via an integrated manometer to prevent deformation of delicate workpieces.
  • Movable Control Box: Both configurations offer a limited movable control panel, allowing the operator to adjust their position for optimal visibility.
  • Precise Blade Guidance: Utilizes a bedding system with two bearings and carbide plates to maintain blade stability during heavy-duty cycles.
  • Integrated Safety: Standard safety equipment includes cover switches, blade tension sensors, and limit switches that trigger an automatic stop if safety conditions are compromised.
  • Efficient Chip Removal: Includes a motorized swarf brush to clean blade gullets and can be equipped with an optional swarf conveyor for continuous chip evacuation
