The RASAMAT is the dedicated specialist for the deburring of aluminum tubes and extrusions. Unlike systems using standard circular brushes, which are “completely unsuitable” for aluminum, the RASAMAT uses a patented planetary tool. It is designed to reach into internal fins and grooves without damaging the sensitive, often surface-treated (anodized or painted) outer surfaces of the housing.

General

PLANETARY SEGMENTED TOOLING

  • Segmented Brush Head: Uses a special brush tool with individual wire segments rather than a fixed circular brush.
  • Three Rotational Directions: The planetary gear moves the segments in three simultaneous directions, creating a surface-covering motion that reaches all edges regardless of the profile's complexity.
  • Internal Fin Access: Specifically reaches the outer areas of internal fins that circular brushes cannot contact.
  • Surface Protection: The wires are controlled to hit the edges precisely, ensuring zero damage to the visible outer surfaces of the aluminum profile.

Features

  • Anodized Surface Safety: Safely processes painted or anodized workpieces without marking the outer skin.
  • Wear Compensation: Features an integrated setting mechanism to compensate for brush wear and adjust deburring intensity.
  • Stationary Workpiece Handling: The operator holds the aluminum profile against the V-guide; the machine's planetary motion handles the rotation.
  • Complex Geometry Support: Ideal for mechanical engineering extrusions, heat sinks, and architectural metalwork.
