The Mecal TDC 622 Dynacut is a large Upcut Double Mitre Saw engineered for wide cuts on architectural and industrial aluminum profiles. It features 600 mm saw blades on cutting heads that electronically tilt from 90° to 45°. The machine’s key advantage is its compound blade feed motion, which combines a pivoting stroke with a linear advance to achieve one of the largest cutting capacities on the market.

General

The Mecal TDC 622 Dynacut is an up-cut double miter saw designed for industrial and architectural applications like curtain walls that require wide, precise cuts in aluminum extrusions. The machine is available in 5-meter and 6-meter useful cutting lengths and includes a special function to process oversize lengths up to approximately twice the machine's stated capacity. The left cutting unit is stationary, while the right head is motorized for accurate positioning.

Cutting Heads

The Dynacut is equipped with two large 600 mm (23.6") TCT saw blades. The cutting heads are CNC controlled and can independently tilt inward, from 90° to 45°. Its exceptional cutting capacity is achieved through a dynamic cutting cycle that combines the standard pivoting up-stroke with a linear forward-and-back blade movement. This compound motion allows the Dynacut to make exceptionally wide cuts that are not possible with a standard pivoting saw.

Positioning and Clamping

To ensure a perfect cut, a dynamic profile back support system automatically adjusts its position according to the cutting angle for the best possible material backing. The clamping system is also linked to the angular position of the heads, automatically setting the optimal clamping position as the blades are adjusted. The machine comes standard with two vertical pneumatic clamps per head for secure material holding.

Operation and Programming

The machine is controlled via a 15" industrial touchscreen PC with a Windows based interface. Cutting lists can be entered directly at the machine or imported via USB or a network connection. For operator safety, the cutting cycle is activated with a two-hand control system, and dynamic protection guards completely cover the cutting area during operation.
