The Thorwesten PBZ is a high-performance CNC Machining Centre for PVC Profiles, engineered for automated milling, drilling, and screwing operations. Equipped with a freely programmable 360° tool turret and real-time process monitoring, the PBZ delivers repeatable precision, high throughput, and maximum reliability for modern window fabrication lines.

General

The PBZ combines a rotary tool-turret architecture with CNC-controlled milling and drilling units to perform complex machining sequences on PVC profiles with exceptional accuracy. The slewing ring accommodates up to eight tools, all of which can be freely positioned around the full 360° axis. This enables the PBZ to process every required feature—cut-outs, holes, grooves, and fastening points—without repositioning the profile.

The optional dynamic screwdriver mounted on its own servo axis performs screw-fastening operations in parallel to the drilling and milling cycle. This innovation boosts machine capacity by up to 25%, significantly reducing idle time and improving overall production flow. Additional protection is provided by an intelligent tool-break detection system, which continuously monitors tool condition and stops the process before scrap or downtime occurs.

The PBZ is equally capable in handling special profile geometries. Even complex shapes can be machined without extra material allowances, reducing waste and shortening setup times. With a modular frame, intuitive user interface, profile scanning, real-time process monitoring, and an industrial PC running Windows 10, the PBZ brings digital precision and workflow transparency to high-volume PVC machining environments.
