MECAL PLUG

General

The Mecal Plug is an entry-level double miter saw that provides a straightforward and efficient solution for cutting aluminum profiles. The machine is built on a rigid, electro-welded steel base and features a stationary left cutting unit with a motorized right head for accurate positioning. It is available in 4, 5 and 6-meter versions and includes a software function for oversize cuts up to approximately twice the machine's stated capacity.

The Plug utilizes a back-to-front linear blade feed, a motion that allows architectural profiles to be processed while resting on an unexposed surface, protecting visible finishes and allowing better clamping possibilities.. The blade feed is driven by a hydro-pneumatic cylinder for a smooth and powerful cutting stroke. The machine is equipped with two 500 mm TCT saw blades on cutting heads that tilt pneumatically outward to fixed angles of 45° and 22.5°, covering the most common cutting requirements for a wide range of applications.
