General
The Yilmaz KD 402 S is a down-stroke double head chop saw designed for straight and miter cutting of aluminum, PVC, and wood profiles. It features a stationary left cutting head and a manually positioned mobile right head. The operator sets the cutting length by referring to a digital display and secures the mobile head in place with a pneumatic brake.
The cutting heads are equipped with 400 mm saw blades and can be manually rotated both inward and outward between 90° and 45°. To speed up setup for common cuts, the machine includes pre-set location points at 45°, 30°, 22.5°, and 15°. The downward blade stroke is powered by a hydro-pneumatic system for a smooth and controlled feed. For operator safety, the cut is initiated with a two-hand control system, and the blade covers automatically exposes only the required portion of the blade.
