The Yilmaz SK 500 D is an automatic drilling and cutting machine for aluminum profiles, designed for high-volume production. It builds on the SK 500 platform by integrating a servo-controlled drilling unit alongside the 500 mm up-stroke cutting blade. This allows the machine to perform both 90° cutting and vertical drilling operations in a single, automated cycle, making it a highly efficient solution for fabricating components that require both cutting and hole-making
General
The Yilmaz SK 500 D is an automatic drilling and cutting machine for aluminum profiles that combines 90° cutting with vertical drilling for aluminum extrusions. The machine's process is fully automatic, controlled by a PLC and high-precision servo motors. The operator can manage all parameters and cutting lists via the 7" color touch screen. Transferring a cutting list from a text file (csv format) via a USB memory stick is also available as a standard feature.
The integrated drilling unit features a servo-controlled Y-axis for precise radial hole positioning, while the material feeder sets the axial (X-axis) position. A hydro-pneumatic dual-speed actuator ensures a rapid and controlled drilling stroke. After drilling, the profile is advanced to the cutting station, where a 500 mm blade performs the final 90° cut.
The SK 500 D also includes features to protect the material, such as an automatically raising roller and a retracting back fence to prevent scratches on profile surfaces.
