MECAL SW 550 PLUS

General

The SW 550 Plus uses a hydro-pneumatic cylinder to raise the blade from the rear, providing consistent feed speed and excellent cutting stability. During operation, the operator engages two pushbuttons simultaneously; once the cut is completed and either button is released, the blade retracts automatically into its protective housing, ensuring a safe and controlled cutting sequence.

Two horizontal pneumatic clamps secure the extrusion firmly in position, maintaining accurate alignment throughout the cut. The saw head can tilt ±22.5° left and right, enabling the execution of common mitre angles such as 22.5°, 45°, 90°, 135°, and 157.5°. Intermediate angles are achieved through adjustable mechanical stops, allowing flexibility for custom cutting requirements.

A full protective hood, adjustable blade stroke, front access to the blade compartment, and a chip-collection path integrated into the base all contribute to efficient and safe operation. With its large cutting capacity, rigid construction, and reliable hydro-pneumatic control, the SW 550 Plus is built for demanding aluminum fabrication environments.
