General
The Yilmaz SNM 560 is an industrial grade notching saw designed for cutting end notches on aluminum profiles. The machine is built on a robust cast iron carriage for maximum stability and performance. The workpiece is held stationary by horizontal and vertical pneumatic clamps and is positioned against a back fence that can be manually pivoted. The notching process is executed as the saw carriage, containing both cutting blades, travels horizontally towards the workpiece with a hydro-pneumatic feed for a smooth, accurate cut.
The machine's key feature is its ability to produce a wide range of compound angle end cuts. This is achieved by manually adjusting the two saw blades and the material back fence to various angles. The horizontal blade can be tilted from +60° to -60°, the vertical blade can be tilted from +45° to -45°, and the back fence can be pivoted from +60° to -60°. The precise angle of each component is shown on dedicated LCD screens, and an optional 4-axis NC control system is available for automating these adjustments.
