The Mecal “SW 550 Plus” is a back cut saw to cut straight and miter aluminum profiles. The blade is activated by means of an hydro-pneumatic cylinder. The operator holds the two push buttons until the cut is completed. As soon as one or both buttons are released, the blade retract in its own housing.

GENERAL
The Mecal “SW 550 Plus” is a back-cut aluminum mitre saw ideal for applications such as residential and commercial windows, curtain walls, railings as well as industrial aluminum profile cutting requiring mitre cutting. The saw can cut straight or mitre both on vinyl or aluminum extrusions.
An hydro-pneumatic cylinder ensures the precise and uniform feed speed of the blade. Two pneumatic horizontal cylinders hold the extrusion firm in place for the maximum precision of the cut. The “SW 550 Plus” features a tilting head capable to cut mitre angles ± 22.5° both right and left. Intermediate angles are also possible by adjusting intermediate mechanical stops.
OPERATION
To perform the cut, the operator must hold simultaneously two pushbuttons with both hands. As soon as the cut is performed and one button is released, the blade retract in its own casing.
