General

The Yilmaz FR 221 is a manual copy router that provides a precise and reliable solution for machining various cut-outs on aluminum and PVC window and door profiles. The machine is built on a robust stand with a cast aluminum main structure and utilizes corrosion-resistant linear guides for smooth operation.

The routing process is controlled manually by the operator using two handles: one for plunging the vertical spindle into the material and the other for guiding the router bit along the X and Y axes. The machine uses a template and a two-piece tracer pin to transfer the desired shape from the template to the workpiece at a 1:1 ratio. For simple rectangular slots, the machine can also be operated without a template by using its built-in mechanical stops. The 3-phase motor uses a transmission to achieve a high spindle speed of 14,000 RPM, and a standard spray mist cooling system allows for the clean machining of aluminum profiles up to 3 mm thick in one pass.
