Double Miter Saw | YILMAZ KD 402 S

GENERAL

The Yilmaz “KD 402 S” is a down-stroke double mitre saw ideal for applications such as residential windows, storefronts, railings as well as industrial aluminum profile cutting. The saw can cut straight or mitre both on vinyl or aluminum extrusions.

The saw features a movable right head, while the left cutting unit is stationary. The operator will manually position the mobile unit to the required cutting length by referring to an electronic indicator and lock it pneumatically in the position.

Blade feed direction is from top to bottom. Cutting units can be manually rotated at any angle between +45° and -45°.

Machine is 4m with a maximum useful cutting length of 3455mm (136″).

OPERATION

To perform the cut, the operator must hold simultaneously two pushbuttons with both hands. As soon as the cut is performed and one button is released, the blades retract. Hydro-pneumatic cylinders ensures the precise index of the blades.

SAFETIES

The Yilmaz “KD 402 S” down-stroke double mitre saw is provided with two blade covers (one each cutting head) as part of the standard safety features to provide full protection to the operator.

• Two (2) TCT Ø400 mm (15¾”) saw blades, blade hub diameter: 30mm (1.2″)
• 2 x 2.2 kW (3 HP), 230V, 3~, 50/60 Hz, 3000 RPM motor for each blade
• Pre-set location points at 45°, 30°, 22.5°, 15° and 90° both on the left and on the right
• Rotation range between 90° – 45° inward and outward, infinitely adjustable
• Independent on/off switch for horizontal clamps
• Pressure regulators for the clamps to adjust clamping pressure for different materials
• Mobile unit is pneumatically locked in position by push of a button
• Digital read out to display cutting length
