The MECAL “FMM 311” machining centre is designed to machine and cut small parts starting from an Aluminum or light alloy extruded profile.
Machine features a 3400mm (134″) long basement where the X-axis moves on, 5 CNC axis and a ∅ 500mm (19.6″) saw blade at the left end.
An optional boring station with two drills is available to bore both ends of the part after being cut.
Mecal “MC 311” is a CNC for aluminum small parts fabrication. The “MC 311” can process and cut short complex parts starting from an aluminum profile. The machine can work with extruded aluminum as well as light alloys. It has a 10 kW electro-spindle with HSK-F63 tool holder system. Main rotary tool magazine has 12 slots.
The “MC 311” CNC for aluminum small parts fabrication has a 3400 mm long basement where the X-axis moves on, 5 CNC axis and features a cutting unit with 500 mm saw blade at the left end.
5 CNC controlled axes: X-Y-Z head movement, A spindle rotation +/- 90° together with feeding of the movable clamps.
Using a drill, milling bit or a tap, it is possible to work on 5 sides of the profile. Machine can perform end-boring operations by using an optional boring unit with two drills to bore both ends of the part after has been cut.
Useful strokes (mm): X = 1700 Y = 150 Z = 100
Movement of the X-Y-Z axes as well as the clamp movement through profiled linear bearings and ball screws driven by Mitsubishi servo motors
The “MC 311” CNC for aluminum small parts fabrication is equipped with movable clamps.
There are 4 clamps in the centre of the machine: 3 fixed and 1 with independent movement.
